OH-IO

We all got decked out for the Ohio State Vs Oregon game this year. It was a great game...sorry Seth. Then I got some good photos of Charlie in the snow. I thought he resembled the kid from The Christmas Story in all his gear. Grandma got him his coat for Christmas. I'm pretty sick of the snow already though. When is Spring coming?? Oh, and the last picture is of our little monster! We never had to have locks on our cupboards or gates on our stairs and certainly not locks on our toilets with our other kids, but Henry is an explorer and wants to go everywhere and check out everything. I didn't get a shot of him when he was trying to get his leg up on the edge of the toilet and climb in. I had to throw the camera down at that point!

Two Boys in a Tub

The boys love taking baths! They are so cute in there. Charlie is trying to wash Henry which was pretty funny!

Christmas Morning!

Christmas was a hit! We told Meg that she needed to stay in her room until there was a 7 on the clock that morning. So after feeding Henry around 6am I went in to check on her and sure enough she was staring at the clock watching the minutes tick by. She is so funny! Who knows how long she had been doing that for! Meg got some golf clubs so she can play with daddy when it warms up, also a very soft bathrobe and matching slippers and her first American Girl doll. Charlie got a new basketball hoop and t-ball set and also several Cars which he loves and carries around in a bucket all day. Henry got a new ball toy which he loves as well. We had everyone over for brunch afterwards (Jen's, Grandma & Grandpa Kiehl & Grandma and Papa Rayburn). We ate a ton and had wonderful company!

A Visit to Santa

We went to see Santa this year at a local shopping center. It was very neat. They even had real reindeer and a horse drawn sleigh you could ride around the parking lot in...all for FREE! Charlie couldn't come because he was throwing up that day (which passed on to Meg a couple days later). I thought these pictures were so funny. Meg was very excited to see Santa and even brought along catalog clippings of specific presents she was requesting from him. Henry just starred at him and then looked at me and started crying. It was very cold that night, so we couldn't stay long.

More Christmas pictures

You have to look at our older Christmas photos first, a couple entries down...but I can't remember what we bribed Charlie with, but he was much happier this time around. However, we couldn't get him to keep his eyes open! I'm pretty sure he was doing it on purpose.

Bowling!

We have a nice bowling alley close by and the kids love going! Charlie's ball rolls about 1 mph, but he loves it and Meg is actually pretty good. We've had a lot of fun there.

Christmas photo op

I thought I would show an example of what it is like to take our family Christmas photo every year. Not too much fun!

Aunt Heather

The kids really enjoyed having Aunt Heather stay with us. It was a real treat for them. They couldn't wait to wake her up everyday. Her stay was far too short. She lives too far away! We hope she comes for another visit very soon!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was wonderful this year...my favorite holiday. Heather came to town as did Paul, Melissa and Matt. Melissa works at the famous Bethel Bakery now, so she brought the kids their very own Thanksgiving cake. It was amazing. Of course, the kids don't eat cake (don't ask me why) but they sure felt super special to have their names on a turkey cake. The rest of us enjoyed it very much!
Henry found Papa's belly to be rather comfortable, I'm not sure why???
