Grandma's Visit

Grandma Rayburn came to help us out for about 10 days, when Henry was about 9 days old. I can't tell you how nice it was to have her here. I didn't have to worry about going grocery shopping, doing our endless piles of laundry, ironing, or waking up early with Meg and Charlie. We were so grateful for her visit. The kids loved coming downstairs to wake up Grandma at "O dark hundred" every morning. And Henry was actually sleeping really well then, so I was getting plenty of sleep. Those days seem forever ago to me now! I was also feeling the need to get back to normal, so we tried to go and do several things. We even made a trip to Dallas to visit our favorite copy cat restaurant: Costa Vida. It is almost, but not quite, the same as our real love: Cafe Rio, in Utah. While in Dallas we stayed at a very nice hotel, for very cheep (thanks mom!) and Tom and I were even able to go see a movie by ourselves! The next day, Grandma, Meg, Charlie, Henry and myself went to the Dallas Aquarium while Tom worked via his laptop. Meg and Charlie love the aquarium there. Charlie still asks to go back and see the dolphins and turtles. I love that first picture on here of Grandma with her grand babies. Charlie expression is priceless! And Meg holding Henry is a regular occurrence. However, he is getting so big now, it is harder for her to do. We love you Grandma!

Moms are the best, aren't they?!! I'm sure it was fabulous to have her around. Way to go Meg holding the baby all by herself standing up!
